Hurricane Chris semble être prêt à sortir son nouvel album avec Bobby Valentino sur son premier single. Mr Ay Bay Bay y parle de son pote Lil Wayne et de son diss avec Ice T.

Le rappeur travaille dur sur son nouvel album encore sans titre. Même si l'opus ne devrait pas arriver avant le premier trimestre de 2009, Hurricane a déjà choisi son premier single, « Touch Bases » featuring Bobby Valentino. « Ça parle d'un type qui a envie de se poser. Comme dire à ta copine que tu as fait le tour du monde et que tu es prêt à te poser avec elle et lui être fidèle. » affirme Chris.

Il poursuit en parlant de Bobby Valentino. « Il est venu en studio et a été très pro. C'est sorti comme un ouragan de catégorie cinq. » Il n'est pas le seul featuring sur l'album, Nicole Wray fait également partie de l'aventure, ainsi que Lil Wayne. « C'est mon pote, c'est la famille. Il reste vrai avec moi. » Les deux rappeurs de Louisiane travaillent aussi sur un projet à côté. « Lui et moi avons quelques titres qui vont tout déchirer. Je suis allé le voir et j'espére faire des trucs avec lui. Nous sommes des Louisianimaux, on ne meurt pas, on se multiplie. »

Ce printemps lorsque le rappeur Ice-T s'en ait pris à Soulja Boy, il a, de même, conseillé à Hurricane d'enlever les perles de ses cheveux. Chris ne lui a jamais répondu. « Je ne veux pas entrer dans le jeu des haters. Je suis un homme. Provoque moi si tu veux, mais je n'écouterais pas ce que tu dis de moi. Je viens de la Louisiane. Nous avons de vrais problèmes ici. Je ne viens pas m'amuser sur Youtube. Je n'ai pas de compte Youtube. Les trucs de gamin mettent du temps à m'atteindre, parce que nous avons d'autres problèmes plus sérieux. »

L'album de Hurricane Chris sortira sur Polo Grounds/J record en début d'année 2009.
